Cindy

Cindy

Because someone has to be Christian. Cindy is owned by Honor, Treasure, Zing, Saiah, and Cailean (who hates flyball). Her passion is her dogs and flyball is her favorite dog sport. After a number of years competing in obedience and conformation with her Border Collies and Carl's English Springer Spaniels, Cindy and her Border Collie, Tux, attended a flyball seminar given by Deb and Julie Norman in Altoona, PA. Julie was a ripe old 14 at the time. Cindy went home not realizing that she'd ever hear from them again. One day, the phone rang and it was Julie asking if Cindy and Tux would like to race with Fur Fun. Cindy and Tux were a part of the original Fur Fun East. Those were the days when tournaments were few and far between and you had an hour lunch break. People always ask how Cindy got to be on a team so far away from her home, well, now you know. Cindy and her dogs love being a part of Fur Fun, even if she is a Christian. Cindy is married to Carl Tier and they have three daughters and 11 grandchildren. Cindy also loves working on her Creative Memories photo albums, playing pinochle, pro football, and going for long walks with Carl and their dogs. They live in a rural area near Penn State University and have the luxury of acres and acres of the university's farm land to go for their walks. She also loves the Steelers and Penn State football.

Lynn

Lynn

Lynn can talk...I am here to say.

Rose

Rose

Rose has been an animal lover and involved in athletics her whole life but never put the two together until Lucy came into her life and changed it forever. Wanting to do the right thing by this incredibly talented and energetic Border Collie, Rose enrolled Lucy in several classes at Y2K9s Dog Sports Club and was instantly hooked on Flyball and Agility. Rose has two grown children, three grandsons and two granddaughters. Rose’s fur family consists of three BC’s Lucy, Snitch, and Tam, and three cats.

In order to support her Flyball habit, Rose works during the day as the Director of Human Resources for a non-profit in Philadelphia. In her spare time, Rose likes to garden, and has taken up the art of stained glass.

Kim

Kim

Like everyone else, Kim (aka "Blistex Anyone?") has always had dogs and taught her childhood pets (german shepherd and smooth fox terrier) tricks, etc. The first dog she trained for formal obedience was a doberman in 1986. The next dog she trained was...eekk ghadds...a beagle! Since then Kim has had Westies, Flat Coated Retriever, mixes, and...what was she thinking...an Airedale. Over the years she has shown in conformation, obedience, flyball, earthdog, retriever field trials, terrier trials and done therapy work. Kim ran with Fur Fun back in the day and seriously kicked it old school.

Having finally come to her senses (and triumphantly returning to flyball and Fur Fun), she currently has an 8 month old Jack Russell Terrier (Legend) and a 10 week old Staffy (Fenix). Married to Bob, she homeschooled her two sons, Jason, 22 year old carpenter and Robert, 20 year old student athlete at Vanderbilt University. She lives in Phoenixville, PA, and in her spare time she loves to garden and sew.
