Coconuts for the Cure

Fur Fun is again challenging all clubs entering its annual Coconut Classic tournament to a charitable showdown.

Since 2009, Fur Fun has donated a portion of its proceeds to the National Canine Cancer Foundation – with incredible results. Last year, we once again raised more than $7,500, and over the last 3 years, together, we have raised over $20,000, to help fight canine cancer.

Our team has lost treasured canine members to this terrible disease and we are sure that your club has also. We ask that you join us in this fight.

The 2012 tournament is scheduled for June 23-24 at the York Exposition Center in York, Pa., and promises to be the usual good time had by all!

We are asking all clubs to conduct their own fund-raisers for the NCCF, and the team raising the most money will win a free entry to the 2013 10th Anniversary Nut and a deluxe gift basket, plus a lot of good will!

The contributions will be collected on Saturday morning (6/23), and the leading clubs and their totals will be announced. Your team can still collect funds throughout the weekend, and the announcer will keep everyone updated on the running totals. The final amounts will be tabulated on Sunday afternoon, and the winner announced at the awards ceremony.

Please let us know if your club members are interested in participating. If your team has creative ways to raise funds, we are sure that other clubs would enjoy hearing your ideas.
